You can find all forms of iron supplements in supermarkets and drugstores. Just look for the one that is best for you. A prescription is not needed.

Men and women who engage in intense exercise may have low stores of iron in their body. They need to take in more foods with iron and also vitamin C to keep it balanced.

The upper limit per day for adults and teenagers 14-18 is 45mg. The limit for children per day is 40 mg. Do not go over these amounts because it will cause iron toxication that will lead to death.
